- Are these case studies real engagements?
- Yes. Every case is a real engagement from the practice. Names, employers and identifying details are anonymised; the numbers, timelines, regulations applied and outcomes are exact as filed.
- Why share client engagements at all?
- Cross-border cases rarely look like the textbook version. Reading the actual sequence — what the client walked in with, what we filed, what the AO or RBI asked — is the fastest way to recognise your own situation before booking a call.
- Can outcomes from a case study be replicated for me?
- The framework usually transfers; the exact outcome depends on your facts — corridor, residency timing, source of funds, documentation. A 30-minute scoping call confirms whether the published playbook applies cleanly.
- Are the savings numbers (RNOR, Sec 197) typical?
- They are typical for the situation described, not guaranteed for every client. RNOR savings depend on day-counts and asset positioning; Sec 197 outcomes depend on capital-gains math and the buyer's cooperation.
- How recent are these cases?
- Cases are drawn from the last 24–36 months of practice. Where a regulation cited has since changed (Finance Act updates, new RBI master directions), the case page carries a note pointing to the current position.
- How do I check if my situation matches a published case?
- Send a short brief through the consultation form. We map the situation to the closest published cases and tell you whether the playbook applies, needs adaptation, or is genuinely new territory.
