Saudi–India Tax, FEMA & Financial Advisory for NRIs & OCIs.

End-of-service benefits, iqama-bound assets and Indian property repatriation — the Gulf playbook tuned for KSA professionals and business owners.

Saudi Arabia levies no personal income tax, so Indian-origin residents pay tax in India only on Indian-source rent, NRO interest and capital gains. A Saudi ZATCA Tax Residency Certificate is needed each year to claim India-Saudi DTAA relief. NRE remittances shelter foreign earnings and NRO routing for India income remains standard for OCIs.

Common questions

Answered, candidly.

Is my Saudi end-of-service benefit taxable in India?
Depends on residency in the year of receipt. We typically plan EOSB realisation to land in an NRI year so it sits outside the Indian tax net.
Is Saudi salary taxable in India?
No, while you qualify as NRI under Section 6 day-counts. Saudi has no personal income tax, so plan residency carefully — there's no DTAA credit to fall back on.
